This interesting full-day excursion to the Baza plateau, departing from Gorafe, covers almost 200 km of mainly dirt roads. This landscape, in addition to enjoying small walks in a fascinating landscape between dry streams ("ramblas"), will allow you to visit areas of geological interest.

We will visit the hot springs of Zújar and an organic-chemical sedimentary formation, one of the best views of the Baza fault and its outcrops (this fault allowed two different models of sediments, an erosive model of the gullies in the Guadix basin and a sediment mainly of chemical and evaporitic origin in Baza), an underground river, the ancient exploitation of sulfur and saltpeter, a curious circular cave, remains of ancient earthquakes with unique formations in the world and other unique landscapes.

In addition to transport and our work as a Geopark informant (on the routes we offer historical, landscape and geological information), taxes, transport insurance, CR insurance, personal accident insurance are included.

In addition, on all excursions we offer a 1.5-2 liter bottle of water to each participant and we offer ham and cheese sandwiches.

On these routes there is the possibility to stop in a bar-restaurant in the area for a break and have a drink (beer, soft drink, even eat something if you want). These charges are not included.

Please note that the hours of the museum or archaeological site vary throughout the year and that for logistical reasons they can be visited during the excursion only in the afternoon*.

We can also visit the Iberian necropolis of Tutugi, still the subject of study and excavation. The return will be made via national road or highway.
